Be 'Ok' with your Day!

Ask yourself which one are you? The one in the BLUE car on the LEFT, or the one on in the RED car on the RIGHT? If you practice ACCEPTANCE & EQUANIMITY on a regular daily basis YOU WILL always be the one in the RED CAR ON THE RIGHT!


Practicing Acceptance can be complicated with its complexity of all the grey areas that it holds like; Forgetful Surrender, and Let it Be, and Let it Go, and all the hundreds of benefits it holds within the practice.


But to just be 'OK' with life and go along ("Willy Nilley") by not being aware of the way you think and behave, is more simple to understand it is more BLACK AND WHITE without all the grey areas that you can get involved in. But you WILL ALWAYS end up in the same Predicament Syndrome which can lead to a Complex or Deadlock Situations.


When you do finally find the effects of what Acceptance has to offer you, you will know, you won’t be able to mistake it.


All I can say to explain what its like is by the example of a constant hum of the Fridge Freezer workings you are constantly hearing the droning of the motor for ages in the background of your mind, then it automatically turns itself off everything goes quiet and peaceful and you think what a friggin relief! Although you were NOT aware of it at the time it was on.


We do this to our minds constantly all the time with this constant droning of the workings of our mind, this self fuelling of the noise of constant inner chatter that our minds keep coming up with that we are NOT really aware of till it stops. Just like all our concerns and constant worrying and ruminating about future events or past happening, over, and over, and over, again, and again, and again, this constant noise in our heads that we are NOT aware of till we truly find Acceptance then-and-only-then, you realise what’s been happening when you finally find peace and tranquillity in your life.


The refrigerator of your inner talk turns itself off and you find peace, because you change the way you think, and how you think, and when you think, because you gain control over how you think, this can be a revolutionary experience, a sudden shift in your minds ability to be rational with the process of thinking.


Everything in life has a rational explanation and certain amount of logic and meaning behind it, but it doesn’t appear by itself you have to put some effort into it, and if you seek, you will definitely find what you are after, and what most of us are after, is some kind of settlement and peace of mind, instead of continually searching for something that doesn’t and NEVER WILL exist and that is either, in the past, or in the future. There is only one sure place that DOES exist and that’s in the presence, of THE NOW.


To make things more easier to understand how to Practice Acceptance on a daily basis, I have made a list of most things in life that annoy us daily that we unnecessary react to in an alarming way, when we already know that we will be experiencing these things on a regular basis, and although we are aware of this, we still react to them as if they were something new and original, which only causes extreme unnecessary stress to our nervous system, and causes our adrenaline and cortisol hormones to be constantly and unnecessarily released into our already over sensitised body. 


And these are:


Traffic Jams (this is number one of everyones annoyances list)

Alarm Cocks

Screaming Kids

Red lights

Answering Machines

Being put on hold

Junk mail

Not using indicator signals

Slow walkers

Slow wi-fi

Being woken up for no reason

Drivers who take up two spaces

Forgetting your umbrella when it rains

Braggers

Middle Lane drivers

Someone looking over your shoulder when you are talking to them

Parking across two spaces

People who cut in line

Stepping in dog shit

Stubbing your Toe

Untangling earphone wires

Walking behind someone who is slow

When you hear people chew (noisy eaters)

Private land parking charges

Traffic wardens


All the above things are normal life experiences that every one of us has to endure in life, so WHY DO WE REACT TO THEM in a surprising and upsetting way when they continue to confront us?

Why do we feel that we ourselves have never done any of these annoying   things in our life, we feel we are the victims to all this behaviour we are innocent of such acts, we take it all personal that it only happens to us.


If we could BE OK with all this happening to us without any resistance, a thing to be expected or even welcomed because we are still alive to witness it all, and be more grateful that we can SEE, HEAR, FEEL,TASTE  and SMELL, all this happening in front of us, we would have found what we have been searching for all our lives.


ACCEPTANCE and being OK with annoyances in our life experiences.

Why should we do this?…………………………..Why shouldn’t we do this? 


Because we will always have these annoyances whether you like it or not………………………So why not like it? And live a more settled life of peace and contentment that we are all searching for. You will only find this in ACCEPTANCE and THE NOW.
