Never look forward, only to see where you are going. Never look back, only to see how far you have come.

The future does not exist, because when it arrives it’s NOW, and the past is just a memory that you cannot go back to.
But most of us are always living in these 2 zones, in our mind, on a daily basis, always worrying about what’s to come and ruminating and regretting past events.
All these mind activities that we think we have no control over, because we have been programmed by our past. We feel safer in the ‘GOOD OL’DAYS’ that have happened because we know what’s as happened and we no longer fear it. We only fear the unknown, and what’s to come.
We reminisce about the past by only thinking about the good times. Our brains seem to mainly forget the hard times we have had, our unconscious mind try’s to wipe them out because they are so disturbing, just like the feeling of pain, we have difficulty in remembering past psychical pain.
It is a good job that this automatic deleting process works, it gives us space to move forward, it is one of natures survival strategies, it is only when we intervene and interfere with this natural forgetfulness and Acceptance by taking notice of our intrusive and disturbing thoughts and constantly worrying about what’s to come, and what they mean, and why you are having them, and why it happened, and all the problem solving, and all the “what ifs” and “say if this happens”
Can you see how easy it is to drift off into the future, and back into the past, inside your thoughts that keep entering your head and capturing your ‘FULL ATTENTION’ You should train your ‘MIND GUARD’ to only be ‘AWARE’ of these unwelcome thoughts, You must learn there is a difference between ‘FULL ATTENTION’ and ‘Casual Awareness’ or you will never improve much till you do.
‘FULL ATTENTION’ is focusing on what is bothering you and “WHAT YOU PAY ATTENTION TO, BECOMES YOUR LIFE” always remember this!
Take the eye as an example; Peripheral view, or peripheral vision, is the part of your vision that occurs outside of your direct line of sight, allowing you to see objects and movement in the 'corner of your eye' without turning your head. It is crucial for tasks like walking, driving, and playing sports, as it helps with spatial awareness and detecting motion. ‘PERIPHERAL VISION’ is distinct from ‘CENTRAL VISION’ which is used for detailed tasks like reading or recognising faces, and giving FULL ATTENTION to what concerns you.
This peripheral view also is present in your mind as well as your eye.
Although we have no control over our thoughts entering our heads, (just like we have no control over what appears in front of our vision) we do have a choice and control over what we do with them after they have.
You can focus on, or turn away from what’s in-front of you or not, just like If you focus on an intrusive thought, you are giving it your ‘FULL ATTENTION’ and your brain recognises this as being important to you, and if the thought holds a tremendous amount of fear, (which intrusive thoughts usually do) your brain goes into ‘SURVIVAL MODE’ and when your brain goes into survival mode it won’t let you forget that you are in some kind of DANGER.
Your brain then goes into the ‘FIGHT OR FLIGHT MODE’ by releasing the two fear hormones; Adrenaline and Cortisol to get you prepared to deal with the false ‘DANGER AHEAD’.
But what as just happened? Your memory from your past, or the thought of what the future holds, as tricked your brain into thinking that you are in some kind of immediate DANGER it doesn’t realise that it was only a thought that entered your head, and NOT a real danger that you need to deal with NOW. (It was YOU that made this happen by paying too much ATTENTION to your thoughts.)
Most ordinary people fall for this self inflicted trick every day of their lives and are NOT Aware of it, they are unconscious of what’s happening to them.
The only thing they are AWARE OF, is the feeling of ANXIOUSNESS and AGITATION being constantly present in their lives it is like the constant hum of a refrigerator motor that’s always present in the background.
To be AWARE of what is happening to you is the answer to your problem because when you are the OBSERVER you are no longer the VICTIM you are looking at your intrusive thoughts from a distance, from a shelf that you are sitting on at the entrance of your mind you have become your own ‘MIND GUARD’ from now on you are in CONTROL over what YOU want to think about, and NOT to be constantly controlled by your own thoughts that are causing you problems, by your brain being constantly in SURVIVAL AND FIGHT OR FLIGHT MODE.
‘ACCEPTANCE AND CHANGE THE WAY YOU ARE THINKING’ is the only defence mechanism you have in controlling your thoughts.
That’s why I wrote a book about my experiences and how I managed to overcome all the obstacles that troubled me in my earlier life that I call ‘THE ANXIETY STATE’ which can include any type of anxiety that turns the Adrenal Glands Switch ON. LIKE:
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and General Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Panic
Disorder (PD) along with Major Depression Disorder (MDD) and Ventricular Ectopic Beats (VEBs) I overcome all these disorders without the need of prescription medication. By practicing Acceptance and Changing the way I was thinking.
This book is a simple read that can be read in single chapters with over 120 different short comical, and amusing stories that changed MY LIFE for the better by CHANGING THE WAY I WAS THINKING.
